ID please

I this guy was sold to me as a Maxima but after i got it im not sure. The shell and the way the mantle is makes me wonder. Could this be a Crocea??? Im just not sure anymore

Based on the shape of the shell and the size of the scales I would say it is a Crocea. Very nice one too!!

Oh the size of the clam is about 3 inches.

Heres a crappy pic of the other side of the clam that looks more like a max...

I'm putting my money on maxima.
The roundness of the shell suggests crocea but everything else about it says maxima.

Those scales do look more like a maxima's. However, the shell looks like a crocea's. The mantle looks very "maxima like" as well. I'm just as stumped as you are, but now I'm leaning more towards the maxima side of the argument.
