I have looked around and havent seen anything that looks like this, got any ideas? It just came out of nowhere and is slowly growing in several places.

Neomeris.

Probably N. annulata.
If it starts spreading too rapidly, you could be in for a ride.
Usually, it behaves itself.
(It is referred to as "Daliring Siokoy" here in the Philippines,
meaning 'mermen's fingers')

That white stuff about the base is accreted calcium.

Another vote fo Neomeris annulata, when happy it should be a nice lime green. Very attractive cover IMO.

I've found crabs covered with it off Pigeon Key, they looked like Green Rasta's.
