What is this? Is it bad? It's isolated to one rock, it came on a favia that came on a rock.

Is it that red in real life? It looks like some kind of algae. If it was my tank, I'd leave it for a while and see how it acts before trying to get rid of it.
 
It is red, it grows fast. So if its bad I want to deal with it when I upgrade and remove rock.

Same treatment as most other algae. I've read posts of it spreading and taking over a tank. My experience differs. I have some in my 65 that looks nice on the rock its on, and has never branched from it.
 
I saw that Mexican turbo snails might eat it. Anyone have experience with that. Ill pick some up this week.
