Ideal light for Ricordea?

I am setting up a 7 gallon minibow in my kitchen. It will only contain ricordea. My question is what would be the ideal light for this tank. I am currently considering a 70 watt HQI, but am unsure if that would be too much light do to the shallow depth of the tank. I have kept rics before in my larger tank, but there have been able to move them up or down in the tank depending on how they respond to the light. In this tank that would be more difficult. Any educated/experienced opinions or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Jed

As long as you can adjust the lights height i think you should be able to use that.
Ric forida can take some light but the yuma need shade/low light.

Yeah, I was kind of concerned about adjusting the hieght of the light. The place I plan on putting it would only allow for the light to be six inches off the surface of the water. The problem is there are not that many lights well suited for that size tank.

thanks

10W per gl of MH is perfect! I prefer to blast my yumas with light, I do it over about 1-2 week acclimation-good luck
