IF you ever make it to East Lansing, MI

Hey guys,

I just went up to East Lansing (where I am from) and decided to check out the local saltwater scene. One store was AMAZING. It is a fully stocked traditional pet store with a huge emphasis on aquatics. It was like taking the selection of all AT, the customer service of SC, and the prices of WalMart and creating a sweet shop. The presentation of the entire place is also amazing, including a freshwater river running from outdoors into the store, a school bus turned into a reptile exhibit and a beautiful 1000+ Gallon SW Display tank (that you can buy the items from!). They even have a birthday party room! Why can we not get something like this? It was such a treat. Not that our stroes are not great. They are.

The shop is truly a family friendly visit. There is something awesome about every section of the store. I am so sad to have left the area before I got into this hobby. Oh the store is called Preuss Animal House. Here is a link.

Been there a few times, I agree it is a really neat store to walk through. One could spend a couple hours. They have a large reptile, small animal, FW and a very large SW section. Although there were definitely some deals, I am not so sure I would say they have have Walmart prices. The store caters to the nearby university so it has a wide variety of low end - to high end.

Definitely worth checking out if you are in the area.

From what I saw, their frags are the 2-4" frags of old. I don't know if anyone has notice but frags sure have shrunk over the last 1-2yrs. I am in Lansing about every 6-8 wks. I will give the heads up next time I am heading up there if anyone wants to buy online, I would offer to pick it up.

LOL... The place is great. I am glad that a few of you have ahd the chance to check it out and liked the shop... I was nervous that my newbie-ness might make me a ba judge of a good shop...

Also near East Lansing in Williamston, Michigan, Joey's Pet Outfitters is a great place to check out. Joey's is a really unique pet supplies store no matter what your fancy, but they have a great selection in terms of everything they offer.
