And start ORDERING! This outfit is by far the best online store that I have ever dealt with..

Great selection, competitive prices, quality merchandise.. I have yet to find anything I have ordered to be out of stock..

I get an order confirmation email immediately after I order, and another one when it ships, complete with tracking info..

Their shipping is FAST and reliable... heck.. even their Website is FAST and reliable..

I have ordered from them 3 times and been met with the same superior service each time.. thats enough for me..:D

I have yet to order any livestock from Marine Depot.. so I can't vouch for that... but I would be willing to bet that its the same pleasant experience..

We consumers don't ask for much... Just send us WHAT you say you will.. WHEN you say you will.. Take the steps necessary to make sure its not BROKEN or DEAD when it gets here.. and if some problem arises, handle it promptly and professionally so we dont feel as though all you care about is our credit card info..

Its not too much to ask... yet many online stores seem to find one or more of these requests impossible to meet..

Thats why.. When I find one that meets them ALL... meets them PROMPTLY.. and actually seems to take pride in meeting them all.. I feel its only fair that they be recognized for their efforts.. and rewarded with the only thing I can reward them with.. my business..

Marine Depot.. you got my business, baby.. And anyone that I can steer in your direction.. I will!

I've ordered online from them once, price was good, no complaints. In and out, wham bam, thank you mam.

Except, I don't think I got an email with shipment tracking number.
Would have been nice.
 
i was going to order a clean up crew of some shrimp and snails.. then i saw the $30 box fee.. :eek1: since my order was about 30 bucks total, i thought it would be 30 total + 30 box fee plus whatever the percentage shipping was.

i went with PA.. they have a 8 dollar box fee for small/medium boxes
 
Marine Depot is an excellent source for aquarium needs. I've ordered (supplies) from them several times. They have great prices and very helpful customer support. They're always willing to give advice on your set-up. And they do provide a tracking number!

Across the board, I think we have some of the best negotiated rates from our freight carriers. This is pretty evident in our minimal shipping charges in our dry goods division. For the livestock division, I understand low is not good enough, since most everything is sent next day delivery. Lots of folks order many small orders to stock their tank, but many of our more price sensitive customers order fewer large orders to stock their tanks so that they can save on shipping costs. The $30 is actually not a box fee but part of the overall shipping costs. For most orders, shipping comes out to be about $50-70 total for a $200-400 order.
 
Well, let me tell you about my experiences.
There was only one but gave me a bad taste in my mouth.

Last week. I ordered a small Imperator Angle (Adult small).
I even called Thurday to confirm my order and the guy siad, yes, it is scheduled to be shipped later today for tomrrow delievery.

Well, I sat around ALL day Friday waiting for my order.
I watched the Fed Ex truck drive by twice and nothing.
So, i called them.

The Rep on the phone couldn't tell me if it was shipped Thursday now any tracking number. She was gonna have it tracked for me and have someone call me back.

About 5pm. I get a call finally from them and some shmuck tried to tell me. He called the day before ( on Thursday), around 3 pm to inform me that the order would not take place. He swears he talked to me.

Funny thing was. I was around here because I do design work from home and believe me. I would know if someone called. I'm the only one that coulda picked up the phone.

Personally, I think the guy screwed up and rambled on some BS to cover his ***.

Needless to say.
I spend about 3 Grand in supplies a year and I am about to add a 500G tank in 2 months.

Due to their screw up.
I ain't buy nothing from them.

Their lost. Not mine.

Personally, I was the one who called on the afternoon before shipout, and told you of the short, your response was for me to call yuo back the next day when yuo had time to get onto the computer. The following day, you called asking about the order and I told you exactly what had happened, to which yuo called me a liar, and said that you would no longer do business with us. As far as I am concerned, we went out of our way to help you, but you treated us as if we were incompetents. Personally, I have never lied or misled anyone in 20 years of doing business, so unfortunately, I believe that you have no complaint.:strooper:

Now, I also live alone and the ONLY person that could have answered it was me.

You claim, you called my house?
You said, spoke to someone on the phone..when I called YOU guys and ask whats up with my order.
You guys acted like a bunch of monkeys on the phone and the Rep had No idea where my order was, the status or if it had been cancelled or shipped out.

I've bought tons of stuff online.
Ask Jason with PA. He'll tell you that I buy tons and he has never had any trouble from me.

Now, don't you think its quit funny?
Do you honestly think. I'd pick on just you guys?

Maybe the day, I wrote this. I just had to pick on someone.
Might as well, be you guys..eh?

While I know MILPIL has a lot of experience and he one of the top in our line of work, I don't necessarily agree that you had no complaint. As a customer, your feedback and complaint is all we have to go on to improve ourselves. There is no way to know who is right or wrong or why call us monkeys, but I usually just assume the customer is right. Hence, I am very sorry this happened to you.

"Ever heard the stament, "Your out of your tree" or "Your ateenia's bent"?? lmao

Maybe its just the sourthern talk.
