Illuminus green patches on my sand?

Can anyone tell me why i have illuminus green patches in my sand please. Is this normal or should i be concerned??

Tell us more! How big are the patches, could they be algae? A picture would help a lot!

Could be a number of things, but green cyano bacteria pops to mind. Of course a picture would help

How much flow do you have in your tank. I
t also sounds like cyano or algae due to the build up of nitrates and phosphates on the surface of the substrate

definitely could be algae. What are your water parameters? Nitrates, phosphates?
