Anybody know where i can get an import permit for clams? I like to order clams form the Marshall Ilsands but i have no idea that I needed to get a export permit.

I may be able to help. I am doing it now! Tell me where you are located, city and state. The farmed clams from the Marshall Islands are imported and people (companys) have territories that are protected by the company in the Marshall Islands. This means for example if you live in LA that area is aready taken you will not be able to import from them. One you will need your import license from the US Customs, two you will need a wholesale permit and for this you need a business, three you will have to deal with US Fish and Wildlife Department (which there are only 12 locations in the US at airports.) And much .much more!

Hello you are right about US Customs. But they are located in many many more airports than the Fish and Wildlife guys. Also you have to first clear Fish and Wildlife and then with your ton of paperwork go to US Customs.
