In line kalkwasser reactor?

Has anyone plumbed their reactor inline with their sump?

I was thinking of having an aqua lift pump feed water from my sump directly to a diy Nilsen reactor that Im building and some sort of air valve on the output to control drip rate.

My top ups go directly from my RO/DI right into my sump.Ive never hooked up an ATO as Id always be worried if they failed.

Would the salt water have any adverse affects being mixed with the kalk instead of pure RO/DI ?

Adverse? Yes, it won't work. You'll end up with the kalk precipitating out of solution..........aka............a snowstorm.

Must be mixed with fresh (non-salt) water.

Eriks is correct. If you try to mix your kalk with saltwater you will precipitate out the calcium.

Thanks guys,I'll add a resevoir to supply RO/DI water to the reactor.
Using an aqua-lift pump should be fine instead of using a powerhead to feed the reactor?
