Hi,

It is member of the Family Dendronotidae - specifically it is a tritoniid. These eat soft corals.

Put it in your system at your discretion.

Cheers, Ron

Don't put those critters in your tank. I had one that turned into 40 and almost destroyed a brown finger leather coral. I understand they may attack other soft corals also. You also need to examine the rock the coral is on for their egg masses. The eggs are laid in small spiral masses. If you find any use a toothbrush to scrape them off out of your tank and rinse the rock in clean water before returning the coral to your tank.

Thanks, that is just the information that I was looking for. They definitely will not go in the tank, cause I have a few softies, with one that is ready to propagate since it is getting so large.
