information for a frilly mushroom?

i just got this 5 inch mushroom.i know its a type of frilly shroom.heres a link to a photo.what i'm looking for is information about how they reproduce and split.i have'nt ever seen one before and i pretty much just wanna know what to expect from it.will it reproduce often?even when its closed,its step is over 3 inches thick.i like it so much,i was tempted to cut it in half but i paid $45 just for one so i'm just going to wait for it to split.

verry pretty , they grow like mad..thier fun to feed..i have 3 different colors of those frillies..purple pink an green..

oh great thank you for the information.i think i'll feed them some mysis once in awhile,i've had mushrooms split by feeding them before.
