Installing pH Probe

Hi Everyone,

I am a brand new ACJr. owner as of today! It's an awesome device. I have a question, however, regarding installing the pH probe. The instructions indicate that I need to install the pH probe vertically. I will be installing it in my acrylic sump. My question is, how do you guys install it without a probe holder? Am I missing something? My pH probe did not have any holder to help the pH remain vertical. Please let me know asap, as I am up working away with my project. Thanks!

If you don't have a probe holder, just hang it half way submerged by the cord, but don't let it bang around. However, I would think about getting a probe holder, or I run mine mounted in the return line.

Okay, where can I purchase a pH probe. I will have it submerged in my sump & will secure the probe halfway. Thanks!

Go to Walmart and get one of the $2 glass heaters. The green rubber holder will stretch perfectly around the ph probe. I have one on both of my ph probes and on my temp probe as well. They work great.

Thanks. I also hung the ph Probe vertically and secured it via heavy duty velcro I had lying around the house. Kinda like the one included in the ACJr. for installation. It works!

Styrofoam works well too.
