Internet security 2010 removal for frags

I was able to stop the is2010from starting up but can't install the malaware bytes.
Sooouch fun lol
I can't start the pc on safe mode only starts up in the last qorkin configuration and stops working after 5 mins.

Btw thx for the suggestions but I can't use the net or follow the various step by step.

Manny, I've resolved this many times at work. Almost every laptop/desktop I've seen infected with the Internet Security 2010 or any of the many varients now out there have required different methods of removal.

From killing the respective rundll (this lets you install the malwaybytes) to making changes to the registry to physically removing the HDD and plugging it to an external SATA/IDE to USB converter.

In a few cases a full re-image/restore was the only way but I've always been able to backup the users data.

If you haven't got it resolved by Monday night let me know and I can stop by and give it a shot.

no norton or mcafee do not prevent this as it is not a virus it is malware just like norton and mcafee do not prevent adware or spyware unless of course you are running the versions that also offer protection against adware and spyware / malware

manny did you get it taken care of just run the rkill then follow the steps to remove

Well I can't even re-install xp- any other suggestions/ I can't start the pc on safe mode/I can't install malaware/ it only starts on the last previous working configuration then it basically stops working (meaning responding to commands) after about 20 seconds.

Not for long, they are out there as Apple increases their market share to around 8%, my friend bought his son a mac as he sent him out to his first year at FSU all fine and secure that all his work was safely stored in a very expensive mac form the apple store; that is until the kid got a virus for mac. The computer had to be shipped to apple but they were not able to fix it and had to send him a new computer lost all his work from the beginning of the year.
Be careful they are not virus proof just less common due to the smaller market share that also translates to fewer options to fix the problem.

i tried to send you a pm but never got a response look this way will remove it, these pieces of rogue software are aware of malwarebytes so the first thing they do is remove its exe file and do not let you run the install file, first thing u have to do is rename the install file to lets say 123.exe once it intalls your going to have to watch the c:\progam....\malwarebytes folder and as soon as the mbam.exe file appears you have to copy it to ur desktop u have to do it quickly since the malware will remove it within a couple seconds once uve copied it rename it and copy back to the folder. now you should be able to run and remove it. like i said before i have dealt with this same thing many times before and this should help
