Introducing Coral

My tank has been up for just over a year now. I just put in my order for a T5 fixture. I want to start introducing coral into the tank.
I have read that newbies should start with softies and then move onto hard coral but some sofites can be very aggressive and consume most of your tank. I just don't want to go through the same headaches I had with choosing my first fish for my tank (Damsels - thank you Mr LFS). They were too aggressive and I had a hell of a time getting them out after they abused other tank members.

Do you know of any links on RC that talk about how newbies can start out with Coral? Do you know of any good books for newbies venturing into Corals?

if you don't want something aggressive, just start with shrooms and zoas, way ez. i personally don't like the idea of something in my tank releasing toxins just to combat the other corals so i don't have any leathers or anything like that. lps is ez too, but instead of toxins, they got sweepers, so keep ur other corals at a distance. hope i helped.

Now that's the type of info I need. Thanks gtriamy.
I not keen on toxin releasing animals either- that's one reason I stayed away from cucumbers.

BTW, I ordered the book bertoni recommended - it got great reviews on Amazon. Sounds like a pretty comprehesive book. Can't wait to get it.
