Is anyone interested in BK300 EXT?

Funny how this hobby comes full circle. You got people trading in needlewheel skimmers for venturi skimmers.
 
Gabe, I will bet that a lot of people >70% running this skimmer replaced a Deltec, H&S or Bubble King, and another 10-15% of some other brand of needlewheel skimmer. Care to wager?
 
this is the part that got me thinking... "The very natural bubble formation of this skimmer reminds you of the foam formation at the sea. " :D

lol true... but as i have never heard of this skimmer before no way would i personally drop a G on it..

True, but new toys make me happy. I never got around to buying a BK and from what I hear most of the collector corals seem to have red bugs or aefw, so I am not going to buy those.

Besides the fluorescent orange acrylic will look good covered in crud in my sump.

If it is a POS I get to buy something else in 6 months..........maybe a BK mini, oh the joy and happiness.

But for real, it's cool how the upper part of the body has the funnel shape into collection cup and the plankton friendly venturi thing. Wasn't this skimmer made especially for zeo users?

That's the story of my life in this hobby! I'm sure the skimmer will work. This may or may not be the best skimmer on the market. One will never know until they try it. I have only heard good things about it. I'm just curious what makes the skimmer different/better than other venturi skimmers. I know I was amazed at the skimming ability of the Bermuda skimmers. Now with this skimmer out I think there will be a sudden rush to develop venturi skimmers again.

I heard ya. It is so funny that ppl are looking for PM, watermelon, I have both in my tank but I am not interested in them but I went to my friend's house and ask for a frag of the slimmer. Sometimes, you look at the same thing, it's just so bored that's why I need a good friend group so I can trade my corals around without their cost.

I already asked Tetra for the HOB Remora skimmer but he didn't want to trade my BK. That's old man doesn't change his course.

Hey, I have Bali Xenia if you can make it to OC, then it's yours. You can raise this xenia and make a lot of money. Tong's sell it for $150.00 per stalk man
