Is conductivity salinity?

I see the "pro" (AquaControllerPro, AquaController III Pro) meters measure conductivity. This is typically a fresh water measurement. Is this really salinity?

If it is not salinity then is there any plans to offer this? n my mind, for reef tanks, the most important parameters are temp, PH, salinity, abd calcium. I truthfully am unfamiliar with what ORP actually is.

Since the ionic composition of salt water is well defined there is a 1 to 1 correlation between conducitivy and Salinity. In the back of the AquaControllerPro manual there is a conversion table that translates between Conductivity (mS/cm) and Salinity (ppt).
