is drywall toxic?????

is drywall toxic? my house was built in 1992 if that matters...im asking because i just set up a new tank and realized after i put water in that there was a little bit of drywall dust,so i just put in a filter sock and blew it down the drain.....do you think i need to worry

I wouldn't worry unless it's from China..lol Most drywall is crushed up mix then pressed together and bonded.

Yea if it was only a little bit of dust you should be ok. My house was made in the 30's and I recenly hung the light over my tank. Tiny small amount of dust fell into tank and everything is still ok 3 months later!

Drywall is primarily calcium sulfate, which is not a concern for a reef.
