Is imperator angel safe for SPS?

not 100% guaranteed but you have a much better chance, and an even better chance w/a juvi.
i have a juvi in a lps softie tank, he's fine except for the large meaty corals.

Like said perviously not 100 percent its a chance with any angel, But mine has done well. 8 incher so its decent in size.

Mine nips at the sps but has done so less as it gets older. It does little to no dammage and the colonies keep growing and look good. I do notice that the sps has taken defensive measures and polyps open only at night, but I don't care.

Creetin,
Did you raise your 8 in. from a juvenile? Did it have any adult coloratoin?

I bought it large as some authoritys seem to say and i have noticed it in emps that if you get a juvi colored one they dont make that last transition in color change or are not as vibrant.
This guy is a pig and mean. If you do get a large one make sure its the last fish and no compitition.

I had a juvi that started off as a model citizen. Started nipping after about 3 months. IMO its a crap shoot. They are great looking though....

Here is before and after pictures.
