i was looking at my clam and towards the bottom there is a hole. i dont have a pic right now. Its a squamos clam. i moved it to a piece of LR and it attached over night.

I noticed a small hole on the bottom of my crocea.it doesnt seem to affect it and I dont notice any predators.I'm tagging along.

Does it have the appearance of being perfectly drilled? As in a small round opening? If so, it may be a predatory annelid that bores its way inside the clam, which looks fine for a bit, then suffers a rapid decline as it reacts to being eaten from the inside out. It would not take long for this to occur- so if there's no ill effect after a period of days/weeks since you've noticed, you may be in the clear....

no.its more of a teardrop shape that seems to follow the contour of the clam.it seems to have closed but i cant see that end well since the clam has turned a little.its been nearly 2 weeks id say. maybe just over a week.the clam is still in QT from purchase and was cleaned and inspected well by me and the LFS.(i trust this LFS, very reputable)
