Is it possible to have a healthy reef without coraline

Sure, but I can't say there's anyway to avoid exposure of coralline to the tank, and once it's in there it'll start to spread.

if it's a healthy tank, i don't see how you can prevent coraline algea from spreading all over the tank

I too have a "healthy" tank, but I do show spots "giant" Spots on the sides. I think that is where the water flow is at its least maybe.....Or I could just be delusional and my tank is a boz of crap! LOL

if you keep softies only, raise your phosphate really high(.20-1ppm) po4. Coraline will not grow in this.

But no sps in this system.

I know some like it but is it possible to have a healthy reef without coraline algea.

If so.. how..

The higher the light, the less coralline I see in my tanks on the glass. It is in the low light areas, and especially in my sump, that I see coralline growth.

Keep the glass clean will help keep it at bay.
