It's the kind I have and I've had mostly positive results; the only time it overflowed was when I trusted the little suction cups on the float switches; I now have them secured with mini zip ties, works great. I don't know if they've changed wattage- I bought mine four years ago and it was described as eight watts then- the ad says two watts.
