is this enough light for softies

20g long or 20g tall?

I think it'll probably work fine. I have kept shrooms, zoos, leather, and other softies in a 10g with 36w pc.

It's probably enough, but since it's not much more I'd spend the extra money for a 130W fixture - chances are in the future you may want to add something more light demanding and it will give you a lot more options without having to upgrade. The zoas/shrooms/leathers will also appreciate it :)

I'd save for it, it's well worth the extra money IMHO. You can get 130W PC fixtures for about 30% more than the 65W fixtures on eBay. The cost difference isn't as much as many of the tank's inhabitants will cost; maybe you'd have to wait a little longer for one fish or coral, but that'll just force you to stock the tank slowly ;)

I have 65 watts on my 29, i haev a finger leather, xenia, neon GSP, regular GSP, kenya tree, zoos and yellow polyps. I do wish i had gotten 130watts, but im gettign a T5 fixture soon

so go wit h130 watts trust me, even if yo uonly do softies, it helps them grow and looke more beautiful

ACBlinky, are you talking about the 48" 130watt light?
No, what I meant was a 24" 2 * 65W fixture.
