Is this enough lighting?

I have a 5-6" Teardrop Maxima currently under 250w halides, but I'm tearing down my tank. I really don't want to get rid of my clam, and I'm setting up a 20 gal tall with 72w of PC lighting. Does anyone know if this will be enough for it, or will I have to get rid of the clam?

TIA

Mark

I would take the 250 and put it on the 20 gallon. Just make sure there is a cooling fan and it will not heat the water up to boiling levels.

:D Yes, just send it to me, I should have enough light for it!

But seriously, I don't think that PC's would do. Only metal halide for that guy.

Take the 250 watter and stick it over top of the 20 gallon. Just make sure it is at a minimum 10" above the water or the tank will boil.

Will you have any other water volume like a sump or refugium?

There won't be any additional volume. I was thinking about keeping this tank simple. I'm gonna turn the tank into a rose & ricordia tank. I did want to keep the clam, but I guess he'll just have to go. :sad2:

Anyone interested in a 5-6" Gold Teardrop Maxima?

I've had it for 8 months now.
