It's about time..Seio`s Multicontroller

Nice - hope it is not too pricey. Man this took a long time from when they first talked about making one.

My 1100 starts every time. I have it on a timer to shut off once a day for feeding, and I occasionally stop/restart it to clean it. Has never had a problem. I think some of the restart issue was early units, and people running them on wavemakers even though the manufacturer says not to. I have talked with some people in the club and no one that I talked to had the restart problem.

Also, the controller doesn't shut off the pump like a wavemaker, it just slows the speed down to 30%.

And I think some of the reported problems with the Seios is from people who are still very upset over having tank wipeouts from the Rio powerheads that contained oil a long time ago, and are just out to trash Taam.

Anyone find a price on these yet?

my restart issues were new pumps(couple months ago) and the yweren't on a timer or wavemaker....but restart was a problem on them(1100's) at least everyother time

I have had 2x620, 1x1100. The 620s were from right when the first came out and always restarted. A friend also had two 620s that always restarted purchased much later. I bought an 1100 a few months ago, and it didn't restart. Doc fosters replaced it, and the replacement starts every time.

I'd still be using them if those modded maxi-jets didn't put out about the same flow as an 1100 at half the size.

Summary for those who don't feel like reading the pages and pages:

They'll be out in 6-8 weeks, cost about $200, control one or two pumps (no splitters, there is some electronic craziness that makes this impossible), and.... it works with any pump :). I'll be using one with two modded MJ 1200s.

I think $200 is high personally... If it was $100 I would order one in a second... $150 I would do so hoping it was worth the money. At $200 I'll probably get one anyway, but just because I really want to see what it can do.

$200 Seems like a hell of a lot for 2 damn Phs , give me a naturalwave and maxijets anyday . Glue the impellers so no snapped plastic and even replace the Phs a couple time and you can still beat 2 bills .

Did anyone see premium aquatics is going to start selling the new forgot the name no motor inside the tank magnet powerhead. Taking orders already adn will be in the 300 range.

not too mention that you bump into it and it shuts off. If the magnets are not perfectly aligned it doesn't work.... unless this is something that has been fixed since beta. IMO the drive magnets should not be the "holding" magnets as well... for that price a pair of rare earth rings should be included....
