I was juicing a aiptasia a few minutes ago and some of the juice floated up into one of the feeding tentacles on a acan lord coralite. It imediately retracted them right into its mouth. Will this kill that coralite polyp since the juice is meant to kill aiptasia?
Does anyone know what the active ingriedient/s in it are? Kinda curious since it claims to be "reef safe" yet it will indiscriminently erradicate cnidarians(both ornamental and nuisance).
Wellll I do think it is similar... but it may have something else also? I was told to just use Kalk aka pickling lime and water but it did not fully kill the buggers? where the joes juice did very effectively.. BUT when placed into the water they both look exactally the same and behave the same
Either you did not put enough lime in or you did not shoot it directly into the mouth of the aiptasia anenome. Its all I use and its 100% effective 100% of the time.
