Many of you are familiar with the very oversized leather in the center of my tank.

Over the last couple of days it looked like it was peeling (it has done this before). But this time it was happening with a really bad odor and looked like the coral was rotting...not a good sign. I tried cutting off the bad sections, but the remaining, sliming coral was having a negative effect on the rest of the corals...so I yanked it tonight. I did manage to save a couple of decent size pieces that hopefully will recover and turn into nice corals.
