Hello!

We just recently got a favite sp. brain and part of it is a little bleached and there's been some recession. The previous owner said he thinks it was shaded and that caused the bleaching.

We're feeding to try to help it along and my question is this;
do I need to target the areas specifically where the brain is bleached to help it along or will feeding a mouth here and a mouth there benefit the whole thing? It's got so many mouths but I'm not sure if they're individuals like a sun coral or not.

Thanks for your help!

As long as there is healthy tissue still connecting all the corallites, then you dont need to target every mouth; the nutrients will be shared throughout the colony.
