With a few more suggestions I`m going to try this thread again and hope it will still be a group effort.
The aim is to produce a quick short list that can be easily read through on tangs
Here is what I have learned from others:
Include the picture of the tang
Include information about the tang but Do NOt include any judgment statements
eg Recommended tank size
If you borrowed information include a link or reference to the original producer
Please do not post on this thread if you intend to debate or argue what is presented here or it will ruin the original intent to provide a quick reference thread on tangs
Please check the other posts ahead of you before posting --this will prevent repeats
Here is a format suggested by one of our best moderators ED K
Yellow Tang
Scientific Name: Zebrasoma flavescens
Common Name: Yellow Tang, Yellow Surgeon
Region: Hawaii
Adult Size: 5''-7'' average
Foods: Primarily Herbivore (will eat small meaty foods and shrimp)
Reef Safe: Yes, slight caution.
Invert Safe: Yes, slight caution.
