Kent Marine Calcium Buffer Part B

Just got back from the LFS to get some purple up in hopes of getting more coraline. However, the guy working said all he uses is Kent Marine Tech cB Calcium Buffer Part B. He said he doesn't use Part A and it seems to work really well. Anyone else just use one of the two? Anybody have any opinions on this?

What are your current Ca levels? I'd also go to the chemistry forum and read some of Randy's articles ( attached as stickies at the top of his forum ) to see the ways to chemically manage your tank.
