Keys Reef Dive Recommendation

We are finishing up our certification on Saturday the 19th. ( : We are planning on going to the keys for our first real dive. We want to see some real reefs! and usually stay near Key Largo area, but are willing to go more south if its worth it. Probably going June 9th weekend for my birthday :fun4:

Couple questions:
1. What are the best reef sites there and what companies are good to bring you out? Is there a good website I can utilize?

2. What are the best months for diving south Florida, as far as weather and current goes.

thanks in advance

Stay in Key Largo, go to Molasses Reef.. Rainbow Reef dive center is the best! They are the only ones I use now. They are next to a Marriott on the ocean side across the street from Sea Dwellers. Summer time is best.

If you venture down to Islamorada there is a great reef called Alligator reef. Very nice with some good ledges and lots of life. Also in John Penny camp you can rent boats (or at least you used to be able to) and you can go out to the statue of Jesus.
