Have you been adding anything that would cause the alkalinity to rise? Like a pH buffer maybe?

yes Disc1
Yesterday I put a bit of "KH plus" to raise the pH a little, but not too much because I had the pH to 7.9, I think that after 12 hours has stabilized, impossible to have increased from 12 to 19.
you think this will affect so quickly?

Could you give us more details on the pH buffer that was used?

I tried searching for "KH Plus" but the only thing I could find was a powder made by Tetra.

ALL pH buffers will raise alkalinity. ANYTHING you add to the tank to increase pH will also increase alkalinity. That's a chemical fact you can't get around.

If low pH is bothering you, then the problem is dissolved CO2. Get fresh air to the tank and the pH will go up. Most of the time, you can get there just by opening a window in the room where the tank is. If that isn't an option, then there are more drastic measures you can take.

But adding anything to tinker with pH will always lead to more trouble.
