Lab grade probes?

Are lab grade probes worth the extra money? What makes them lab grade? Are they more accurate or do they last longer?

Thanks
Adam

They are more accurate, drift less and give more stable readings quicker. They last about the same time.

A $50 -$100 probe is not "lab grade". The ones I had were $250 a pop. Those sold in this hobby are fine for our needs.

Lab grade Probe

Neptune systems list standard grade probe at 44.00 and lab
grade probe at 59.00. Is there any difference?

I agree with Randy . pH probe companies do not have grades of probes. It is just cheap to expensive depending on the type of probe and its response curve

I've not seen either one so would have no way of knowing, but I'd hope there is a difference.

i think ones that say labgrade have a gold plated connector (the ones listed with the neptune systems)

so maybe it has better contact to the acual meter. but i dont see that making a big difference
