Leopard Wrasses

I have some questions about Leopard Wrasses. These fish are notoriously bad shippers. Are you willing to ship them with sand in the bag? Do you anticipate getting any in Divers Den? I am reluctant to purchase them unless I know they are eating and DD fish are proven healthy and eating. Thanks in advance for any information.

Steve,

Thank you for your post and great questions on the Leopard Wrasse. When we ship the specimens we do not add sand to the shipping bag. By adding sand we do not believe that it improves the quality of the specimen. We believe that this can be detrimental to the fish, as they may swallow the sand during shipping or the sand may cause abrasions to the body of the fish.

Before placing any of the specimens we offer on our Divers Den they are placed in quarantine to ensure that they are healthy and eating well. Once they are healthy and eating we take their pictures, and then add them to Divers Den to be sold.

We are planning on adding a Leopard Wrasse to our Divers Den Website within the next week or two. We would recommend signing up for our Divers Den email alerts, as we are adding new specimens daily.
