Usually people have the bubble trap on the other side of the sump. I don't know if it will matter much in your setup, but that's the norm.

Actually after doing some measurements this set-up may be an issue. I only have 15 inches of clearance from the top of the sump to the bottom of the tank. The G-1X is 22 inches high. I guess I could do one of two things either attach the Skimmer box to the sump via a bulkhead or some how run a pump and feed the water to the sump that way.

Saltcreep and splashing is your worst friend.
Make sure you use anything at your disposal to prevent it.

You could lower your skimmer stand and run your box drains more towards the top.

As far as the bubble trap goes, your pic is the way my sump is set up. I got turned around and did it wrong, but it works just fine.
See why they call me STUPID.

Consider Dual outputs from your skimmer box to your sump.
To handle the water flow volume.

You might need 2 drains from your tank - one to the skimmer one to the skimmer box I dont know if that skimmer can handle everything from one direct feed line to it.

Unless thats just the way you have it drawn up, and your drain pours into the smimmer box and not directly into the pump.

Got ya.. Yeah Fade told me to do that but I did not incorporate them in the pic. So your saying to have the feed line run directly into the skimmer box and have the pump pick the water up? I guess the only other big question I have is what size should I make the chambers i.e. Fuge, Intake, Return.
