I am almost finished setting up my 120 and only have the light's to go...

I did a search and couldn't find any other threads like this, please point me in the right direction if I'm wrong..

If a couple others don't mind me stealing their photos, here are a couple I've always been fond of, as I'm looking at open top on my next tank, also.

I assume you're talking about Tacocat's. It's a standard 100g. (60x18xwhatever tall). He's running 2x250wHQI 14ks. There are VHO actinics hiding within the "canopy." I believe it may just be a normal canopy with the top cut off.
 
very nice! but heres a question. how do you deal with small flying bug that may land in your tank? I had a mothe land in my 10g and it caused my water to get merky and I lost some shrooms and things like that! not to mention now that I run a halide over it the tank attracks alot more little nats and things like that!

You know what, I didn't even think to make a faux canopy with the top cut out to hide the actinics. That was actually the whole reason why I posted this thread.. :)
