I have a copperband who has cleared my tank of aptasia and I haven't yet been able to get him to eat prepared foods. Looking for rocks full of either aptasia or feather dusters.
I can trade zoas and some other frags if wanted.

Do you want to sale or trade that copperband? I have the opposite problem. I need an copperband to eat aiptaisa in my tank. lol

Not really looking to sell right now. He looks pretty healthy and im pretty sure I can get him onto blackworms or masstick soon.

Did you try California Reef Co.? They were over-run with aiptasia several months ago. We have about 50 aiptasia in our small reef -problem is we cant get the rocks out. We'd be happy to baby sit him for a week :-)

Ill try cal reef. If I can't get him to eat anything else soon id consider passing him around to keep him fat and help out anyone with aptasia :).
He cleared mine out (I had 100's) in a couple days!

He didn't eat blackworms during the last batch I had. Im going to order another 1/2 lbs this weekend and try again.

1/2 lbs? that's a lot of live blackworms.

you can get 1 scoop from kings aquarium for $2. That lasts about a month if you don't overfeed.

you can feed uncooked clam. but the problem with that is, other fish will eat it first. frozen uncooked clam works also, you can get a pack for like $3 at asian supermarket.

Yeah, I was able to keep the last few batches for over a month and a half and ended up using all of them. I also share a little with anyone who needs them. I thought king aquarium sold tubifex? He hasnt shown any interest in clams so far

I got live blackworms from king aquarium. They don't always have it, so call first.
you meant 1/2 oz or you really buy 1/2 lbs?
I think 1 scoop is 1/2 oz.

I fed the copperband while in QT, so I know it eats clams and blackworms before I released into DT. What has your CBB been eating if he does not eat blackworm and clam? (besides aiptasia) did you get the fresh manila clam and shucked it and fed the meat?

Yeah, 1/2 lbs.
Ive been throwing in rocks covered in feather dusters but I ran out. I tried frozen clams instead of live, fresh clams to avoid diseases.

wow 1/2 lbs! that would last me a year.

I just feed one small turkey baster squirt at a time. It knows to come to the turkey baster tip and wait for the worms. I only change the rodi water once a week.

if the live clam closes tight, it should be fine. frozen is more convenient. mine eats the frozen baby clams.

I don't have aiptasia, so I don't know if the CBB will eat aiptasia or not.
you may need to catch it and put it its own tank, and then feeding will be easier.
hope your CBB eats soon.

I do have a frag tank I can put him in. Ill try clams again also.
I have a lot of fish to feed and I feed pretty heavily so it goes pretty quick haha.
Ive found that using 1:1 tap/rodi works best for keepting them alive longer. I also change the water every other day.

I've got a cbb going on 6 weeks now. Saved him with Manila clams on the shell in a pouch every night (when other fish go to sleep). He is looking fat and healthy. Give that a try.

Lives clams from Ranch 99, shuck em and freeze them.
