Lfs

JMO! Most selection in town on fish and corals. Quality is good to great. Somethings are priced well, like salt, Oceanic 200g bucket for 42$ cheapest in town I have found. Some of the fish and corals are the most expensive I have seen in town. All in all I would have to put them in the top 2 of best LFS in town, not like we have a lot thought! JMO! Go see for yourself (go on a weekday, the weekends are crazy busy!)

If you wait until the weekend, you can get from 25-35% off of fish, which makes them more reasonable. They are always pretty nice quality in my opinion and have a nice selection.

evolust they are not the cheapest in town martins oceamic 200gal bucket is 35 if i remember right 160 instant ocean is 28

About the reef has a very nice selection... but dont count on a nice greeting or questions to be answered with any sincerity(You'll see). Of the 3 times I have been in I feel like they would rather not have me there and they act like they wish I would not ask any questions.. (as I am just starting out with reef keeping and no I dont hang out more than 30min). I have had much better information and willingness to inform from AquaTouch. Some prices may seem a bit high (not all) but for the helpfulness and information is worth any extra little cost to not feel like a piece of crap leaving the store. Just my opinion .. take it for what its worth.

they know me by name there well skip does last time he even remembered that i was looking for a fish and that they gor it in they are just really busy thats all

I agree with Phxkeller on this one like I had said before. But still ATR is the best in the state, quality is my #1 thing.

The ATR is a very good fish store. Skip will never steer you wrong. I almost never buy anything unless Skip is there. A good portion of my fish and corals came from the ATR.

But I also really like the Aquatouch. In the past several months, they have recently added SPS corals and clams. I have always gotten healthy fish there. They also have a large nice tank with a combination of softies, LPS and SPS corals. Got a couple of SPS colonies there. Looks really nice. You guys should check them out.

The service is also pretty great. I went there 30 minutes after their closing time, and they were about to leave. However, Scott stayed back to get me some livestock that I really wanted. That was great customer service.

I think that Aquatouch is the only local place to QT their fish before sale. Everyone else gets them in and puts them right out for sale, at AT they stay in the back for 2 weeks before they go up for sale. So you know that your getting a fish that is eating and not sick.

Atr

Atr

Atr gets a lot of lookie loos in there store so when it is busy they help the people they know are buying something. They need to make money you know. If they are busy and you need help just let them know you are there and they will get to you. And when they do you will be happy you waited.

Yes they do.

ATR keeps their fish in Copper. Yuck! Don't ever put any of their water in your tanks.

While that is true I have never gotten a sick fish from ATR(although I haved killed some). By using copper any fish there a week essentially have gone through a week of QT. And I never put water from any store into my tank.

I still have never been to AT. It is such a long drive. Even ATR is 30 min.

Try being a resident in the Northwest valley.......everythings 45-60 minutes away.

I live in far west glendale so everything is far. plus it don't help that I am very shy. lol. I usualy send my wife after stuff.. or I order it off line. that might not be to helpfull for me. I do how ever go to aqua touch. I think some things are over priced. but I have never gotten anything that was sick from them. and they will even asker questions on the phone. I see things even here I would like but I am just to shy to go get it. i guess that sux for me. I have ordered stuff from all kinds of places online just depending on if I like it or not. I personaly would rather buy frags and have them grow, I got my puffer from saltwater fish.c and my dawflion fish from e tropicals.c I hate the service I get from ocean floor. I am a small guy so 95% of the time I am treated like a kid. my reef is about 1yr old and all I have in there is about 6 blue legged crabs, 2 clowns, some damels, 2 orange star fish , a sea eurchant, a sea cucumber , a banded shirmp and 2 eminies. live sand and rock of corse. althou the fish I had befor and stuff i had before where top of the line and I destroyed it all with a fish from pet co. witch I had no clue was sick. till it hit all my fish. now I am rambling ..lol.. well atleast you all got you hear something from me.

I'm just glad that there are somethings that there are more of in the east valley. I live in Chandler and whenever I have needed something for my car, its always Cactus and something. ATR was the first store I went to, when I finally found them (they win the hands down award for the worst signage I've ever seen at any business) I went in on a Sat and they were busy. I believe it was skip who told me that they were fairly busy and the best time to come in and get questions answered was in the midweek. I did get there early one day, just after opening and I was kind of surprised at how much interest he was paying to a 1g pico they had recently set up. I think its kind of kewl that someone who is around fish all day long still has a creative interest in the hobby.
