Life on Your Rock

I got about 120 lbs of rock and there were some crabs that I could see. I wrote and asked if I should toss them or include them, and you said they were probably a sand crab(??? I may have this wrong) and would be okay. In trying to trap a mantis shrimp I caught this guy. Is he one of the okay crabs or should I toss him?

I would definitely get rid of any of these crabs you find. I believe they are commonly called "Gorilla crabs". Some say that they are ok, but Every one of them I've ever come across wreeks havock on the tank!

You guys are so lucky to have life on yours. I spend major $ for Florida Live rock and all I get is a bunch of shells with coral frags glued together.

First he said he would replace it by sending more, then I got another e-mail stating that I had to send the rock back.

It's a long story, but I'm very displeased with him and the way he runs his business.

Where did you get your rock from??

Rule of thumb when considering if a crab is bad or not...is....if its hairy and has black tip claws, toss em out :)
