Light selection?

I have a one gallon tank. I am thinking of making a fixture for a light and put in a light. Anyone done this, or what type of light i should use. Any suggestions will hel[p

I would check the nano-forum. I've heard of people using those little (9 watts) self enclosed compact flourscent. They take them apart and get a 50/50 bulb off the internet with a socket and you're left with a little piece of "ballast" to mount.

You might want to try a 10 Gallon first.
1 Gallon is very unstable.

I take it back, I read your sig and see you have nano's already.
I used a simple DIY method with a CF Daylight lamp on a 10.
You can get a variety of wattages at lowes or HD CHEAP.
