I have a 160 I am setting up to be mostly SPS but some LPS. The tank has a foot print of 30x48 and it 24 deep. I can fit 10 (maybe 14) T5 tubes that I already have. However, they are only 6 lamps are 48". The rest are 36". Should I go that route or run a mix of halide and T5? I was thinking the 6 tube T5 that is 48" and a 48" SunPod with two 250 watt halides.
The advantage of all T5 is I already have them and have a lot of spare 36" quality bulbs. I am concerned about the light reaching 24" deep that is why I am considering halide.
Thoughts?
