Lighting for beginner

I am starting a new tank am i am wondering if 300w of PC's is enough to keep one clam about 14 inches down? Thanks Alot

Scratch that 300w of PC. It only 130w. But it is a 29gal- deep tank.

I'm far from an expert on Clams, but I have the exact same setup(lighting and tank dim.) as you and am also considering a clam. I have been told that a Squamosa is the least light hungry and could probably survive high up in my tank. Feeding is of the upmost importance for these guys, especially when smaller(4" and under) And most of them get quite big. HTH Reeferaddict:bum:

i just posted on another thread reefer that squamosa prefer the substrate, and for both of you with that light it should be fine.
