My 55gal tank lighting: 400w MH 20000K (9"above water)
The 4"maxima is 30cm under water.
How about such condition for my first clam in the tank?

Sounds fine to me. A clam 30cm from a 400 watt bulb is getting plenty of light. Your clam has nice coloration.

How expensive is the reef hobby over in China?

Very nice clam.. 400w MH in a 55g tank.. that clam is getting plenty of light..

thanks,

How about my colour temp(20k) for the clam? May arise problem about such colour temp?
Reef hobby isn't expensive in HK and china. The clam only cost below US$40. But the Hobby is very expensive if everything keep on dying or upgrading rapidly. In fact, very few type of reef-thing can be found.

Ok, Ok, I'm a little slow, but man thats real cheap for a clam of that size and quality. Also their should be no problem with that color temp for the clam, if you look around the forums you will see that their are alot of people using 20k bulbs.

chungsl.. You won't have any problem with the 20K bulbs. I am keeping my clams under 20K 250w MH in my 90g Reef.

Good Luck!!!

thanks typhon

I realise many thing get better since used the radium bulb.eg, recovering corelline algae on the rock.It was fade out when I had used 400w(10k)HIT MH for several day .
