Lighting In Fowlr

How long should you keep lights on? I turn my lights on at 5:30 am and turn off at 8:30 pm. is this too much lighting..

That does seem excessive for a FO tank. I think anywhere between 6 to 12 hours would be fine. Do you get alot of nuisance algae with the lights on that much?

mine come on at 5:30 pm and go off at 10:30.....only 5 hours and they are on when I'm home.
