Lily Pads

Went to scout out the conservatory of flowers in San Francisco on Saturday. Also trying to shoot with my 105mm macro lens without a tripod. Here's what I came up with, the only two shots that were good were non-macro closeups =P

and before someone asks me what camera I used:
Nikon D70

and before someone asks what lens I used: =)
Sigma 105mm F/2.8 Macro

Those are some beautiful photos, thank you for sharing them and for the heads up on your equipment!! lol

thanks for the comment =)

and about the equipment: everytime I post pictures that's the first thing people ask, so I realized that it would be smart to include it =)

Love the first pic! I like how the reflection came out in the water. Very cool. Great overall composition as well.

Second pic is good but the flower looks a smidge blown out. I say smidge because it could very well be my monitor and not the picture.

I just noticed the dragon fly on the flower in the 2nd picture!

If you hadnt listed your equipment, i would have asked!!

the second picture flower just looks like that naturally... though I may have overexposed a tad.

Very nice Pictures man. I like the composition of the first one.
Yeah, I know when you post something up, people ask you what camera are you using. Doesn't it make you feel unappreciated? I mean, it's the person behind the camera right?
