One. More than that and you're likely to start running into water quality problems (unless they're very different sizes, in which case the large one will just eat the small one).
ou might be able to do 2, but they would have to be the only fish, plus you would have to have a sump/skimmer plus make sure one is male one female or they will fight.
I have to agree with Dave, one in a 46g reef...... I have a larger male fuzzy & tried to add a female to the tank, he imidiatly attacked her so that does not always work......
