Little fish that doesn't eat pods?

I have a 29 gallon which is serving as a pod farm to provide a food reserve for the mandarin in my 55 gallon. I've had her a couple months and so far she's still nice and fat.

The 29 gallon has about 40 lbs of LR and a 3-4" sand bed and NH4, NO2, NO3 are all zero, so I'm thinking that as long as the tank is doing well, maybe I'd put a small fish and a shrimp or something in there.

I want to make sure I don't put something in there that is going to eat up the mandarin's food supply. Would a clown goby be okay?

Thanks!

From my experience w/ small fish of any species, they will eat pods, flat worms, etc.. As they grow larger, they will eat larger food.
So don't introduce small fish if you want to keep pods.

There are a lot of small fish that won't actively hunt pods. A Firefish would be a good choice as would most other small gobies IMO.
