Live Food Question

K i might just have hermits as a cleanup crew and throw a couple of snails in every few days. Whould it be ok to feed them feeder fish every once and a while or should it be a damsel?

Freshwater feeder fish are a bad idea for marine fish. It causes fatty liver disease because they are so high in fat. However I don't know if that is true for marine inverts. They might be able to process it better. You could, but I would just go with damsels for feeder fish. They might even be ignored and then you have a fish too, which adds a bit more movement to the tank.

K, just asking cause theyre WAY cheaper know what i mean. But ill just get little damsels or chromis

just so ya know, when ordering from an online source other than TBS, the kind of mantis you'll get is completely up in the air. you might end up with an N. wnnerae which would be fine in a 10 gal. or you might get a fulll grown L. mac which you'd be completely unprepared for. *shrug* when it comes to mantids, i don't trust any source where i can't see what im getting exactly.

if it's a smasher, I don't see the point of adding fish as food. smashers generally don't bother attacking fish.

O ok Ill get a chromis anyway to ad some movement, but im getting the mantis from liveaquaria cause 50$ is a little over my budget

for that shrimp place it is in the $40s to ship to Maine overnight. If the weather is okay you could probly do priority or 2-day shipping. And it might be cheaper for the area you live in. Maine seems to be as far as you can get away from everything and everyone.....

The shipping from liveaquaria is 30 i think but im going to order stuff from them anyway with some other guys and were going to split the shipping
