Live rock - quarantine, freshwater bath or other?

I am moving to a smaller location and am downsizing my 36gallon tank to a 12g nanocube.
I am going to be moving some of the live rock, sand and invertebrates to the new tank and will be selling all of the equipment and the rest of the inhabitants of the 36.

The question - my liverock has quite a lot of aptasia growing on it as well as some bristleworms living inside it which I don't want brought to the new tank.
Should I:
a) Put the rocks in a freshwater bath killing all of the bad stuff and good stuff living in it and hope that the live sand will reseed the good bacteria or
b) Use the nanocube as a quarantine tank and "Joe's Juice" the aptasia and try and capture the bristleworms then dump the water in the nano and start the new tank set-up after the rock is ready?

I have 6 weeks to make the transition.

If anyone has any other suggestions I would appreciate them. I couldn't think of anything else. . . .

I would go with the second solution. Altough, I would leave some of the bristleworm in there because they are good at eating the uneaten things on your sand bed. Of course your going smaller so you could try to catch some but they are pretty fast. Try to leave some food close to the LR and they will get out.
