Loc Line Pliers

Anyone in the Bloomington/Normal area have 3/4" Loc-Line pliers? I have 2 pieces I need connected (6" ball/socket joint tubing and flare nozzle) and I hate to spend $20 on pliers in order to make 1 connection.

Have you tried pushing by hand yet? It's a pain in the butt, but I've done it before.

I have, but I wasn't sure how much pressure it could take before it broke. I'll give it a try now that I know someone has done it that way without breaking it.

Cool - it worked. After ripping my hand open trying a similar stunt with glass to plastic, I was a little leery of trying it again.

it also helps if you put the socket end under HOT running tap water, and the ball end under COLD running tap water, before you push them together.
