Local access Apex Jr

So I updated the firmware on my Apex jr and ever since then I can't access the Apex from my computer on the local network trying to connect directly to the Apex. I can do it over the net through my Port Forwarding service but after awhile it asks for a password. I enter it and it is never right. How do I access it from my computer? I've tried http://apex:8080 and nothing. Any help?

Use the browse tool that came on the CD with your Jr. Does it find the Apex? If so, then use that IP address in your web browser with the listed http port appended.

I bring up apex flash it finds it no problem. Shows the host IP and port. I tried the ip with :8080 at the end. Didn't work. Any other ideas?

Does the browse tool show the Apex as running firmware, or in bootloader?

Running firmware. I can access it via my phone no problem.

Is that while the phone is on WiFi, or using cellular 3G/4G data, or both?

Are you using a wireless gaming adapter/bridge to connect the Apex to the router?

I can connect when the phone is on wifi or 3g. I am using a WNCE2001. I just can't access it via my computer.
